Happy New Year!

1st January 2009 posted by Greg

Mad Caddies & the madcaddies.net team wish you all a Happy New Year!
We sincerely hope that the band & all of you will have a happy & safe new year.
Let’s make 2009 another great year with some new stuff!

Live MP3 Of The Week #5 is up! It’s time to relax…

The Belltower Live at Melkweg, Amsterdam, February 17, 2008

Recorded by NooWaaG
Originally released on Quality Soft Core.

The band did some awesome medleys with this song in the past years.

You can find the Days Away / The BellTower / Popcorn / Days Away Medley on their Live record: Live From Toronto: Songs In The Key Of Eh.

And check out their last one in this great video…

The Belltower / Don’t Go / Popcorn Medley
Live at Melkweg, Amsterdam on May 28, 2007

Check out End Of An Era, a MC Tribute song inspired by The Belltower, performed by the British band A Is For Ape.

Concerning my previous post about the song Mary Melody, I forgot to mention how fabulous is Chuck’s whistling part.
Talking about that, did you know that the whistling part on the song Best Western from Bad Astronaut was done by Chuck! And as always, it’s amazing! Short… but amazing!

You can find the song on the record Twelve Small Steps, One Giant Disappointment.
This album was dedicated to the memory of Derrick Plourde. Derrick was the former drummer of the bands Lagwagon & Bad Astronaut. He also played with Mad Caddies during The Holiday Has Been Cancelled / Rock The Plank era.

Oh! If you’re into vinyls, Suburban Home Records will release Bad Astronaut LPs in first half of 2009.

And Joey Cape will release a split 7” with Jon Snodgrass on January:
